The History of Faust

Young Faust in 1969, a Magical enthusiast and Professional T.V. Model / Personality by age 4.

Faust at age 8, hamming it up at a performance of "Singing and Dancing" at Carnegie Hall.

The Dawn of Faust's Entertainment Career began in 1969, under his birth name, Jason F. Jarrett.  His parents entered him in the "Most Charming Child of Brooklyn", Contest, which won him first place, and a doorway into acting on television, and Commercials.  Along with his magazine model brother, Cody Jarrett, they helped in the support of their family growing up in Brooklyn, New York.

The son of a carpet installer, Faust began his musical career with the love of keyboards/synthesizers, and bass guitar.

He later dabbled with musical compositions by 14, and by 18, he started a new wave/Heavy metal band with 3 other members by playing Bass and organ synthesizer at local New York Nightclubs under various group names such as, "Visions", "Destiny", and the "Movement".  The photo on the left shows Faust in a band photo session in '89.

In the early 90's, Faust was fully involved in the world of music, composing, writing lyrics, and touring for the group he was in.  (This is where Faust got the name and reputation of the "Maestro").

All the while, to break away from the bands touring and studio stress, he would amuse his band members from time to time by showing them a magic trick or two.  By the mid 90's, all of the Movement's band members disbanded, and went their own ways.

During this time of heartache, personal losses, and artistic abandonment, Faust craved for the applause and spotlight of an audience like a wolf craving its next prey.

Weary of the unreliance of unpredictable musicians to jump start the band again, Faust decided to go solo, and started his own entertainment company in '96.

Mainly dealing with children's entertainment in which he "learned the business" off and on, he was employed as a party entertainer for various entertainment companies.

Either being an M.C. for a D.J., or a Birthday party clown, Faust was working and trying his hand in a new field of  Entertainment and Creativity.

Faust learned that by relying on himself he was on to something.  And with the birth of his company, "The Magic Circus", Faust turned his craft toward the art of sleight of hand, and his childhood love of magic.  As the spotlight was back on Faust, he somehow found time to finish his College Degree (In Broadcasting Technology & Management)  and graduated in 2001, while working on his famous  Dove Act, Fire Breathing Act, and Sleight of hand.  During this time, Faust again had the urge to develop electronic music compositions, not knowing that it would help his sense of timing and Showmanship.  He re-vamped an old piece of music he was working on for the last eight years.  This was called "Dark Circus", which at present is in instrumental form.  Faust now is back in the recording studio writing a soundtrack for his new show "Dark Circus", which he hopes will be ready by Winter 2002.  "Dark Circus" will be a perfect marriage of music and magic, along with the unusual effects of giant puppetry and animation.

At present, in hopes of becoming the best he can be, Faust is studying with World Champion Master of the Stage and Close Up Magician, Rocco, to develop his stage presence, and Sleight of hand technique.

Musician, Composer, Actor, and Entertainer, Faust is truly becoming a wizard in the world of Entertainment.............as a multi-media composer of the Sonic, as well as the Visual.
